About Our Attorneys

The attorneys at Edmiston & Colton have been representing injured and disabled Montanans for many years. They have helped people reconstruct their lives successfully after suffering devastating effects of injuries that have caused them to lose their physical abilities, their careers, their income, their savings, their employee benefits, and in many cases, even their feelings of self worth and self esteem.

In 1979, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in accounting/business administration from the University of Montana. Friends and family assert that Jim's barbecuing skills are world class.

Jim is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the American Trial Lawyers Association), the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the Montana Bar Association, and the Yellowstone County Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Montana State Courts, and the United States District Court for the District of Montana, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
