Montana man killed when horse trailer breaks free on highway


A horse trailer that broke loose from its trailer hitch caused a fatal auto accident in Glacier County recently. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 28-year-old man from Missoula was the victim.

Montana head-on collision kills 1, injures 1


A tragic accident in north central Montana has injured a woman and killed a 17-year-old girl. The accident happened near Box Elder, in Hill County. According to the local sheriff's office, the 17-year-old Shawmut girl was driving north on U.S. Highway 87 shortly after 6 p.m. on a recent Sunday afternoon. For some reason she lost control of her vehicle and crossed over into the southbound lane. She was involved in a head-on crash with a car driven by a 30-year-old Havre woman.

Worker's death at sugar plant leads to OSHA investigation

Working in a factory can be a dangerous way to make a living. The proximity of workers to heavy machinery can lead to injuries and even death. Recently a 28-year-old woman was killed in an on-the-job accident at a sugar processing factory in Lovell, Wyoming. According to a news report, the woman died after falling into some industrial equipment at the plant, which is owned by a co-op that has operations in Montana.
