Montana man pleads guilty to murder in drunk driving case

A tragic accident on the Crow Reservation last year has resulted in a murder conviction for one of the drivers involved. The 26-year-old man pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a case arising out of the accident in which four people died. The drunk driving accident serves as a stark reminder of the deadly consequences of drinking and driving.

Engaged couple killed by alleged drunk driver

An engaged couple are two of Montana's most recent victims of drunk driving. The couple was killed in a car accident involving an alleged drunk driver in the Thompson Falls, Montana area in September. Two children of the male victim were seriously injured. The alleged drunk driver, a golf pro and the chairman of the Thompson Falls School Board, has now been charged with four felonies, including two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of child endangerment.

Man dies in oil field accident

Our nation's oil fields, in Montana and elsewhere, are responsible for a lot of well-paying jobs. But those jobs come at a price. Oil fields can be dangerous places, and those who work in them face a risk of injury, or even death, not found in many other occupations. Recently a 49-year-old man from Carlsbad, New Mexico became the latest worker to die in an oil field accident in that state.
